Terms of service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms govern use of the Guestivity booking and hotel operations platform. The hotel, not Guestivity, supplies accommodation and is responsible for the stay, property information, availability, policies and guest service.
Guest bookings
A reservation is subject to the rate and cancellation terms shown at checkout. Guests must provide accurate details, respect hotel rules and raise changes or disputes promptly with the hotel.
Hotel responsibilities
Hotels must keep catalogue, inventory, rates, taxes, policies and team access accurate. Hotels are responsible for delivering stays, legal compliance, refunds, payment disputes, chargebacks and evidence submitted to payment providers. Guestivity does not decide the merits of accommodation disputes.
Accounts and access
Users must protect credentials and use only the organizations and properties they are authorized to access. Organization owners are responsible for team invitations, property scope and removing access promptly.
Payments and fees
Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another disclosed provider. Hotel subscription and transaction fees are shown before commitment. Taxes and settlement timing depend on the hotel and payment provider.
Creator partnerships and referrals
Traveller and creator accounts are free. Creators provide accurate profile information, disclose paid partnerships and accept each hotel's separate commercial terms before earning commission. Public profiles and collections require a publication request and review. Publication does not promise bookings, earnings or hotel availability.
Hotels may invite creators, and travellers or creators may request a partnership. A request alone does not accept an offer. Both parties must explicitly accept the same saved terms. The agreement records the reward, currency, eligible stays, attribution window, payment due date, expiry and transfer-fee payer. Later programme edits do not change terms already offered or accepted.
What earns commission
Percentage commission uses room revenue after room discounts, excluding taxes, fees and extras, including any taxes or fees included in the displayed room price. Fixed rewards apply once per eligible booking. Rewards become eligible after a completed, fully settled stay. Cancellations and no-shows earn no commission; unresolved refunds and disputes hold earnings. Refunds and retained room revenue determine subsequent adjustments. The saved agreement and booking calculation show the exact rules and amounts.
Lifetime referrals
A traveller may explicitly link their verified account to a creator at a particular hotel through a qualifying confirmed booking. The first accepted lifetime relationship applies to later eligible direct bookings by that account at that hotel. Later links cannot replace it, and ending new referrals does not cancel those existing rights. A lifetime commission relationship does not extend an expired guest discount or automatically claim a guest perk.
Direct payments and actual transfer fees
The hotel owes and pays the creator directly using their agreed payment method. Guestivity calculates and records commission, payment reports and acknowledgements; it does not hold, fund or send creator commissions. A recorded hotel payment awaits the creator's acknowledgement and can be disputed. Saving a payment record does not move money.
The accepted agreement determines who bears transfer fees. Creator-paid fees reduce the net payment by the actual provider fee, without changing commission earned. Hotel-paid fees leave the creator's full commission payable. Existing agreements retain their accepted policy. Receipts separately show commission settled, actual fee, creator deduction and net received. For a combined payment, fees are allocated proportionally across bookings under each booking's accepted terms. No fee markup is permitted.
For example, GBP 100 commission with an actual GBP 1 creator-paid fee means GBP 99 received. This is an illustration, not a provider quote. Any commission return is recorded separately with both parties' evidence; Guestivity does not automatically debit a creator or offset another booking.
Clear advertising and honest reporting
Creators must clearly identify paid partnership content before viewers engage with it, including posts, videos, links, QR codes and spoken codes. An upfront label such as “Ad” should explain the commercial relationship; a profile biography or an unexplained affiliate code is not enough. Hotels and creators remain responsible for applicable advertising rules. See the ASA's affiliate marketing guidance.
Traffic figures count recorded events, not guaranteed individual people. Known automated visits are shown separately. Booking, earnings and payment reports use their stated dates, currency and definitions. Report impersonation, misleading content or a partnership concern through the creator report tools. Payment disagreements can be raised on the shared receipt.
Read how creator referrals use personal information. Your accepted commercial agreement and its saved history remain available in your creator studio or hotel workspace.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the platform available and accurate, but maintenance, provider incidents and internet failures can occur. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law; nothing excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
